Okayish self-help, grounded in Brown’s research into shame. Basically the feeling “I am bad” is deeply corrosive, and should be avoided in favor of gratitude and authenticity. Even one of the most-watched TEDx presenters of all time can feel like their life is a mess. A gloss of quick studies over some common-sense on how to live a life, that seems deeply at odds with how people actually live theirs.
